This was a far less intentional year for us. The new prop in the display was the Wishing Well, with creepy ghost girl, Samara. There was an attempt to make it possible for her to rise out of the well on an armature that extended a drawer slide the same way the flying crank ghost works. The rig kept getting tangled in her dressing gown, so we wound up just putting her out as a static prop.
The well wasn’t originally intended for Halloween. It was built for a Snow White and the Seven Dwarves school play where Julia played the Evil Queen. We built the well, and tried to donate it to the school, but they just gave it back. Oh well….
